Historic Monterey Walking While Networking Tour

Discover Monterey’s past while enjoying local food and drink! On this tour you will stroll through historic landmarks, learning about the city’s rich history, while savoring refreshing beers at top breweries. Whether you're a history buff or a beer enthusiast, this tour offers the perfect mix of education and fun.

The tour will start and end at the Portola Hotel. Tentative stops include:

  • Stop 1 - Monterey Mural, 337 Pacific Street
  • Stop 2 - Lara-Soto Adobe, John Steinbeck's home, 460 Pierce Street
  • Stop 3 - Moon Tree, Colton Hall, Old Monterey Jail, 580 Pacific Street
  • Stop 4 - Cooper-Molera Adobe, 506 Munras
  • Brewery Stop - Fieldwork Brewing Co, 560 Munras
  • Stop 5 - Historic Alvarado Street on the way back to Portola
  • Optional Stop 6 - Dust Bowl Brewery in a historic train station, 590 Figueroa Street

Please note, there is limited space for this tour, reserve your spot now. While there is no fee please note, you will be require to pay for any food or beverages you consume along the tour. Please drink responsibly. 


The “Do’s and the Don’ts”
  • Do wear comfortable clothing (layers recommended).
  • Do wear comfortable athletic shoes.
  • Participants must be age 21 or older to participate.

This tour is available on a first-come, first-served basis to conference attendees who have registered for the full conference. If the tour is fully booked, we encourage you to add your name to the waitlist.
