Orange County Waste & Recycling serves the County’s solid waste disposal needs by providing waste management services, operating public landfills, protecting the local environment, investing in renewable energy enterprises and promoting recycling to ensure a safe and healthy community for current and future generations. The department manages one of the nation's premier solid waste disposal systems, three compost greeneries, all serving residents and businesses in the County’s 34 cities and unincorporated areas. This tour will provide a close up look at the County's first operated greenery system to provide free compost and mulch products back to our communities.
The “Do’s and the Don’ts
Please note: Anyone registering for the tour who is not a US Citizen must register prior to July 10th and participate in an additional screening process through the Department of Homeland Security. If you are registering as a non-US citizen please provide your name, birth date, country of citizenship, and a copy of your passport/identification to dbright@crra.com immediately after registering. Failure to do so by the above deadline will result in a cancelation of your registration. Some registrations could require additional documentation resulting in a delay of the approval process.
