CRRA Annual Conference San Diego County Facilities Tour

TO REGISTER FOR THE TOUR: After you have completed your conference registration, you will receive an email with a code, enabling you to register for this tour. This tour is available on a first-come, first-served basis to conference attendees who have registered for the full conference. If the tour is fully booked, we encourage your to add your name to the wait-list.  

San Diego County Facilities Tour Includes:

7:00 AM: Bus departs Seabird Resort 

7:45 - 8:45 AM: Tour of Pala Transfer Station and resource recovery center

9:20 - 10:25 AM: Tour of Deer Park Monastery, with a focus on sustainable and mindful living

11:00 - 12:00 PM: Tour of El Corazon Compost Facility

12:00 - 1:15 PM: Visit to Green Oceanside Kitchen for zero waste culinary arts presentation and vegetarian zero waste lunch

1:30 PM: Arrive back at Seabird Resort


PLEASE NOTE FOR THIS LIVE TOUR:

  • Wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes. This is a WALKING tour, we cannot guarantee ADA accessibility of the venues.
  • You will be required to have a photo ID (like a driver's license or passport) with you to check-in at the facility. 
  • For your safety, you might be required to wear a face mask and appropriate clothing (headwear, protective eyewear, etc).
  • Bring water or a snack with you. We cannot guarantee beverages will be available at the venues.
  • Please wear sun protection (hat and/or sunscreen). 
  • CRRA is providing transportation from The Seabird Resort to all tour locations, returning back to the Seabird at the conclusion of the tour.
  • A vegetarian zero waste lunch will be provided at the final tour stop, Green Oceanside Kitchen.
