    Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting/Tour: October 27, 2021 – By 4:00 p.m. on October 21, 2021, prospective Proposers must submit notification to SBWMA of its intention to attend the *mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit that will be held on October 27, 2021, per sections 7.1.1-7.1.2 of the RFQ file.

    *The pre-bidder’s facility tour is mandatory, if you do not RSVP by 10/21/2021 at 4PM and attend on 10/27/2021 we will not be able to accept your proposal.

    The County of San Diego’s recycling programs are intended to increase diversion of recyclable materials from landfills, conserve landfill capacity, extend the useful life of local landfills and support compliance with State waste diversion requirements.  The County’s Solid Waste Planning and Recycling Section is experiencing growth due to new legislation as well as revisions to the Solid Waste Ordinance.  The County has set a goal of diverting 75% of all waste in the unincorporated areas by 2025.  Based on these changes, the County has a requirement for as-needed professional solid waste planning and recycling support services.  The County would like for a single contractor to provide support services for commercial businesses, multifamily units, schools, and construction & demolition programs operating within the unincorporated areas of the county. The request for proposals (RFP) is posted to Buynet - RFP #10773.   The RFP will close on 3/30/2021 at 3:00 PM. The system can be accessed via the following link:
