Otay Sustainability Park Tour Republic Services’ Otay Sustainability Park is a fully integrated materials management and renewable resource facility. Originally developed to support long-term waste reduction and resource recovery goals, the site has grown into a hub for innovative recycling and sustainability practices. During the tour, attendees will see our 400-ton-per-day composting and food waste recycling operation, the construction and demolition (C&D) recycling center, and active landfill operations. Along the way, they’ll learn how these systems work together to divert materials from disposal, recover valuable resources, and support a more sustainable future for the community.

Please remember:

-Wear closed toe shoes.

-Bring a water bottle.
-Bring sunscreen.

-The tour is scheduled to arrive back at the hotel by 5pm, however, due to the unpredictability of traffic, please know your return time may be delayed.

This tour is available on a first-come, first-served basis to conference attendees who have registered for the full conference. If the tour is fully booked, we encourage you to add your name to the waitlist.

In the event of low registration, a tour may be canceled. If this occurs, we will work with you to arrange an alternative tour or provide a refund for the tour cost. However, if a participant cancels for personal reasons, no refunds will be issued.
