The County of San Benito is currently recruiting a Recycling and Resource Recovery Coordinator. This is a Limited-Term position. This position will be assigned to a SB 1383 Program Coordinator in the Integrated Waste Department. 

DEFINITION: Under direction, assists in the development implementation of county-wide programs as part of the San Benito County Integrated Waste Management Regional Agency (Regional Agency) which consists of the Cities of Hollister and San Juan Bautista and unincorporated San Benito County, for solid waste source reduction, reuse, recycling, and resource recovery; performs other related duties.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: This is a single position, specialty class responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of Regional Agency solid waste source reduction, reuse, recycling and resource recovery programs. This position is responsible for coordinating programs with an independent of the contract solid waste hauler, aimed at achieving the recycling and resource recovery goals of the Regional Agency's Summary Plan. This position provides highly specialized program coordination and expertise in the areas of solid waste source reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery.
