    CRRA Gives Back!

Join us at the Cove in Paradise Point on August 20, 2017 as the CRRA community gathers to give back to this great state we love!

We're cleaning up the Cove, on land and water! Participants can have the chance to be part of the paddleboard patrol, or just walk the shoreline and pick up trash.

This program is made possible thanks to I Love a Clean San Diego and H20 Patrol.

Be sure to dress cool, wear comfortable shoes and bring drinking water!  There will be a short presentation and instructions provided before we hit the path.

This is a family-friendly event. No age limits or skill restrictions on the water-based paddleboard cleanup. Life jackets are required for any participant under the age of 13 and also highly recommended for participants with beginner level swim abilities. All cleanup gear and life jackets will be provided. Please wear clothing that can potentially get wet and water shoes, booties or old tennis shoes to protect your feet.

All participants will be required to sign waivers for H2O Patrol and I Love a Clean San Diego.  You can print out the attached waivers or be prepared to sign on location.  Each waiver must be printed out separately.

GRC & RGWC TOPIC LUNCH at CRRA2017

Help Us Finalize the Crowd-Sourced Zero Wasting Plan for California

The Global Recycling Council of CRRA will present the draft crowd-sourced Zero Wasting Plan for California at its meeting on Monday, August 21st at 12:15 p.m.

GRC has engaged in a year-long process to draft the plan using tools developed in collaboration with the U.S. EPA. We conducted workshops and webinars throughout the year and solicited input from CRRA members and each of the other CRRA technical councils. We will present the draft plan, facilitate a round table conversation, and request your feedback. Help us finalize the strategies and tactics that we will need on the road Zero Wasting in California.

Please stop by a food cart, bring your lunch and join us for a lively discussion.  Please be sure to register early!

Have questions?  Please contact GRC TC Executive Committee Member Ruth Abbe (415-235-1356).

    K-12 TOPIC LUNCH at CRRA2017

The Executive Committee of the K-12 TC (Debbi Dodson with the Carton Council, Jill Buck with the Go Green Initiative and Christine Flowers with Keep California Beautiful) invite those interested in K-12 waste reduction to join us for lunch.

This is a great opportunity for us to hear directly from you how the K-12 TC can be a better resource for you.

We have a platform for conducting webinars.  What topics would you like these webinars to address?

We have a website that is currently being updated.  What would you like to see on that website?

The feedback we received at last year’s K-12 TC lunch helped us develop the three workshops on school topics featured on the agenda at this year’s CRRA Conference. We hope you plan on attending each of those workshops as well as join us for lunch.

We are going to avoid waiting in line for lunch this year by having pizza and salads brought in.  If you have any dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan, etc.)  please contact Debbi so that she can plan appropriately.

Have questions?  Please contact K-12 TC Executive Committee Member Debbi Dodson.
